Concert at Schott Recital Room
July 2010

Clelia will play with the acclaimed Brazilian soprano Rosana Lamosa on the 10th July at 7:00 PM.

The programme will include songs by Schumann, Strauss, Rachmaninoff, Villa-Lobos, Claudio Santoro and a piano solo by Chopin. Tickets will be on sale at the door at £10 (£8 concession) and will include a glass of wine. The Schott Recital Room is located at 48 Great Marlborough Street London W1F 7BB.

Concert at St. Barnabas
February 2010

Clelia will take part in the Chopin Festival at St. Barnabas Church on the 27th February at 8:30pm.

Duet Concert in Brighton

February 2010

Clelia will play a duet concert with Yoko Ono on the 2nd February.

The concert will be at Chapel Royal, North Street, Brighton at 1:10pm. They will play works by Schubert, Poulenc, Mignone and Ronaldo Miranda.

Clelia will launch her new DVD on the 19th November in a concert at St James's Piccadilly, London.

The recital will be at 7:30 at St James's Piccadilly Church at 197 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL. The programme includes works by Villa-Lobos, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin and Gottschalk.

Concert in Somerset, UK
October 2009

Clelia will play a recital on the 30th October at the Minehead and West Somerset Arts Society

The recital will be at 7:30 at The West Somerset Community College, Alcombe, Minehead. The programme includes works by Mozart, Albeniz, Mendelssohn, Chopin and Beethoven.

Concert in Rio de Janeiro
September 2009

Clelia will play the Mendelssohn Concerto No. 1 with the Cia Bachiana Brasileira Orchestra and maestro Ricardo Rocha.

The concert will take place at Sala Cecília Meireles on the 12th September at 8:00pm.

CD Recording
June 2009

Clelia will record a new CD dedicated to the music of Brazilian composer Marlos Nobre who celebrates his 70th Birthday this year.

The recording will take place in England on the 27-28th June and will be released by the Lorelt label in December

Clelia will play a recital on the 7th May in Uberlandia.

BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra

March 2009
Clélia will make a recording of the Concertino for piano and small orchestra by Elizabeth Maconchy with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Odaline de la Martinez on the 23rd March.

DVD Recording
February 2009

Clelia has recorded a recital on DVD at the Menuhin Hall.

The programme includes works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schubert/Liszt, Schumann/Liszt and Gottschalk. It is schedule to be released in the Summer 2009.

On the 23rd September Clelia will play a recital in Paris at Salle Villa-Lobos at 7pm. Salle Villa-Lobos is at the Brazilian Embassy, 34 Cours Albert 1er, 75008.
She will play Schubert , Beethoven's Sonata Op.53 "Waldstein", Villa-Lobos, Mignone and Strauss/Schultz-Evler's Arabesques on the Blue Danube.

Yesterday Clélia played the Grieg Concerto with the Orquestra Sinfônica da Bahia in Salvador, Brazil, with the English conductor Christopher Warren Green.

Next concert will be in São Paulo on Sunday the 3rd August at the Fundação Oscar Americano at 11:30.
Clélia will play two transcription of Schubert songs, the "Waldstein" Sonata by Beethoven, two Impromptus by Schubert, Alt Wien by Godowsky and the Arabesques on the Blue Danube by Strauss/Schulz-Evler.

Continuing the concerts in Brazil Clelia will play in Curitiba on the 17th August at Centro Positivo at 11:00.

Clelia will play a 4 hands concert with the pianist Yoko Ono on the 24th June at 1pm.
The concert will take place at Chapel Royal, 164 North Street, Brighton.
They will play Japanese Folk Songs, Mozart's Variations in G, Bizet's Jeux d'enfants, Villa-Lobos' Carnaval das Crianças and Mignone's Congada.

In April Clelia will take part in the La Linea Festival with the ensemble Lontano and conductor Odaline de la Martinez. The two performances "Brazil Plus" will take place at the Purcell Room in the South Bank Centre.

This concert features works by two Classical Brazilian composers - Villa-Lobos and Francisco Mignone, performed by the Lontano ensemble and pianist Clelia Iruzun. The programme includes the Choros VII, Sexteto Místico and Prole do Bebê by Villa-Lobos. Music by Mignone include 6 Prelúdios and Dança do Botocudo. In addition to these popular favourites, the programme includes new works by the British composers Andrew G Wilson and Silvina Milstein.

This Brazilian-influenced programme includes works for strings (performed by the Lontano ensemble) and for solo piano, performed by Clelia Iruzun, who perform music by Mignone and Nazareth, who was probably the first Brazilian composer to write Afro-Brazilian classical music. The evening features Brazilian classics such as Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No.9 and the recently rediscovered Danças Africanas for octet, the UK premiere of Franciso Mignone's Fantasia No.3 for strings and piano, and a selection of Classical Brazilian tangos by Nazareth. The concert also features new works by British composers Jeroen Speak and Chris Sansom.

On the 21st February Clelia will perform a recital for Andover Music Club.

Clélia's review from the recital in Saffron Walden has come out:

The third concert of the Club’s 2007/08 season was given by the Brazilian pianist Clelia Iruzun, at the Friend’s School before an audience of 120.

The recital commenced with Beethoven’s early sonata in C major, Op 2 No 3. This seminal work, with its concerto-like structure, was well, if not flawlessly played by Clelia, who managed a skilful control of volume with the attack required by its youthful élan. The importance of the 32 piano sonatas published by Beethoven, in popularising solo performance, and their impact on the development of both the piano and musical composition, is too easily dismissed by jaded modern palates.

The second work, Mignone’s 6 Transcendental Studies, was given a definitive performance by Clelia, who knew and collaborated with the composer, even having a composition dedicated to her by him. Much influenced by Debussy, Clelia described this work as impressionistic with a tropical flavour. And so it proved to be, with the Bechstein piano, played with consummate artistry, delivering a beautiful tonal palette.

After the interval, we were treated to Chopin’s Polonaise Op 26 No 1 in C sharp minor, the first of the extant 18 to show abstraction from its folkloric origins. Clelia played this in a delightfully Brazilian style, rather how you would expect Elgar to be played by Martha Argerich! This work was closely followed by Chopin’s Barcarolle, Op 60, in F sharp major, where the playing was strong and rhythmical, and utterly enchanting.

The concert concluded with Lecuona’s Suite Andalucia of 1927. This was a show stopper, with members of the audience rapidly exhausting the supply of CDs available, as soon as the concert ended. Lecuona, known as the “Cuban Gershwin” reached the peak of his abilities with this composition, every one of the 6 pieces it comprises containing scintillating and famous melody, full of passion, rhythms, and the evocation of all things Spanish.

The concert will be at Friends School at 7:30. Clélia will play Beethoven's Sonata Op.2 No.3, Mignone's 6 Transcendental Studies, Chopin's Polonaise Op.26 No.1 and Barcarolle Op. 60 and Lecuona's Suite Andalucia.

In November Clélia will tour China for the third time. She will play solo recitals in several cities such as Beijing, HangZhou, He Fei, Shanghai and others.
The programme will include works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and the four Brazilian composers celebrating anniversaires this year: Villa-Lobos (120), Francisco Mignone and Lorenzo Fernandez (110) and Camargo Guarnieri (100).
